Spring re-cap! This spring VHSA students had field trips to the Star Herald Newspaper and Legacy of the Plains Museum, and attended several concerts at the Midwest Theater. Some outdoor field trips had to be canceled, but will hopefully be rescheduled this fall. The high school students had monthly events planned by parents in turn. They had such things as a board game night, a mystery dinner, laser tag, an April Fools mystery meal, and a dance (hosted by a home school group in Sidney).

The Valley Faith Coop closing program was an enjoyable showcase of the many skills and activities learned throughout the year, and the music and drama classes did their plays at an evening performance at the Camp Rock Chapel.

VHSA also hosted our first Track and Field Day in May. It was attended by about 60 students, most from the Scottsbluff area, but we also had families who traveled from Kimball, Fort Laramie, Lusk, and Harrisburg. I think everyone is looking forward to doing it again next year!

The theme verse for the track and field day was Proverbs 4:11-12 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths. When you go, your steps shall not be straitened; and when you run, you shall not stumble.

I am thankful for a well finished year and pray that God will bless the endeavors of each home schooling family in our community this upcoming year.

In gratefulness, Kelly B.
